In RCDB and the broucures, I've noticed Cheetah Chase was renamed to Sand Serpent. Is this because Cheetah Hunt used the "cheetah" theme, so they changed it? What's the explaination?
 
Not because of the theme. Cheetah Chase never really had a theme, it was because the names were to simaler.
 
The whole area that it's in, Timbuktu, has a very desert feel to it. Sandstorm, Desert Grill, Scorpion(sesame 4D!). Sand Serpent fits in, but the name is really stupid.

But Apollo is a part of mythology. IIRC Kumba is roar in some African language, and there is a legend behind the name that has to do with some sort of roaring monster in African folk tales.
 
I remember riding Wild Izzy. sorry to one up you ;). It would be cool if Busch got a decent one again. One with a high capacity preferably.

Based on the Izzy cartoon for the Olympics. Beyond reminiscent of the easy days of life.
 
Apart from age, why not bring it back to BGW to become a low-cost part of any rumored/theorized utilization of Festhaus Park?

The ride pad seems to measure 150' x 75' or so, which -- depending on whatever happens back there -- makes for multiple placement options.

Should that sound fanciful, don't ask me about Pantheon's "infield" dimensions and what might fit perfectly in there despite it having zero chance of ever happening.
