I've Noticed something...
Have you guys noticed that every coaster still standing & BBW has broken a record:

Apollo's Chariot: First B&M Hyper-coaster, & First roller coaster with a T-Shaped lapbar.

Loch Ness Monster(this is a big one): Tallest & steepest drop in the world(when built), Fastest Roller Coaster(when built), First and now only Roller Coaster with Interlocking loops.

Alpengeist: Tallest, & Fastest inverted coaster

Griffon(also another big one): Tallest Dive Coaster(when built), First Floorless Dive Coaster(when built), First and only dive coaster with 2 inversions, & first Roller Coaster that seats 10 across

Verbolten: First Roller Coaster in America with a drop track

Big Bad Wolf: First Successful suspended coaster

Drachen Fire: First and only roller coaster built with a Cutback, and a Wraparound Corkscrew

Die Wildkatze: None
Glissade: None
Wild Maus (Izzy): None

All the coasters that broke a record(other than DF) had a decent life span at BGW. As for the others None of them Lasted 10 years. So I think that in order for a roller Coaster to stick around for a decent amount of time at BGW it needs to break records. I think that BGW will reject a coaster that hasn't broken a record(other than DF), like a Liver transplant patient will reject a liver.:p LOL

RE: Drachen Fire

^ Griffon still is the world's tallest dive coaster. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I might be wrong but if I remember correctly someone posted on this forum that a taller one is being built. I maybe wrong can someone clarify Please.

RE: Drachen Fire

Every time a new ride/coaster is built, don't they generally intend on setting or breaking a record at that time?

Sheikra opened in 2005 so those are false

When Sheikra was built it had trains with floors, and then a month after Griffon opened they took the floors off. And sheikra only has 8 seats across. And it does not go upside down 2 times. The loop after the first drop is just like griffon, but instead the second loop after the MCBR Sheikra has a banked turn that goes into the water brake section. So this is true.

RE: Drachen Fire

Sheikra opened with floorless trains before Griffon opened last I checked. Also a few Chinese dive machines have 10 across seating.
Apollo opened the year Raging Bull opened, although Apollo opened first.

Glissade, Wildcat, and Wild Maus are easily replaceable. Drachen Fire was a mistake.

Griffon Opened May 25th with floorless trains already built. And then Sheikra soft opened with Floorless trains on June 16th. I know it isn't that long of a time apart but just a few days can make all the difference. I think you might have gotten confused, with when they closed Sheikra in April to remove the floors, but it didn't open back up until June.

I just put the small coasters just to put them up there.
And No Chinese dive coasters have 10 across the closest to it is 8. It still holds that record.

RE: Drachen Fire

Nope, Griffon had the floorless trains first. Shortly after Griffon opened they replaced the frames on Sheikra's trains with floorless ones. But don't take my word for it: http://micechat.com/forums/news/52411-sheikra-go-floorless-buschgardens-com-1-31-07-a.html

For the most part, BGW does or the BGs do. Loch Ness Monster (1st and final double loops); Alepngiest (When opened was the longest most inverted coaster); Griffon (Tallest, Floorless, Drive Coaster); Verbolten ( 1st vertical drop in the continent); I'm the sure the others have other things too.

You're missing a couple things, but I'm not going to go into that, you can find that in my post above. But Alpengeist still is the tallest and longest inverted coaster, just saying. Look at my post above for more information about the records the coasters hold/held.

That is wrong.

Monster in Walygator Parc in Maizières-les-Metz, France is longer than Alpengeist at 3,937 ft in length. Alpengesit is 3,828-ft long.

Again, Alpengeist NEVER had the record for the world's longest inverted coaster. That belongs to Monster at Walygator Parc in France. It originally opened in Japan a year before Alpengeist under the name Orochi.

I was basing off of the duration of the ride from what I heard the duration of Alpengeist was longer than that other coaster.

Parks don't use ride durations to boast about world records and you shouldn't either. And for BGW to claim Alpengeist to have that would be utterly stupid because a majority of that ride is spent climbing the lift, which is a non-exciting part of the coaster!
