RMC's New "Split-Rex" Steel Coaster Model

To my knowledge, this is the first look we're getting at RMC's new all-steel coaster model, the Split-Rex!

Most notably, this new model can "exceed 300 feet and speeds of 100+ mph".

Where the likelihood anyone's going to go for it?

I mean, if SFGADv is going for a Mack strata shuttle, and Intamin isn't the favorite as much for these kinds of rides anymore, it's possible.

But is RMC known for super reliable rides?

Looks like it could be really cool, but like the T-Rex I still question who would actually buy one. The only options I can think of are the bigger Herschend parks or maybe BGW, but that's kinda it.

I'd have loved if there were more details about this. Why is it called the "split" rex? It just looks like a realized version of the T-Rex.
What do the trains look like? Are they double-seater Raptor trains, are they akin to RMC's traditional trains, or something new entirely?

I feel like this model must be further along than the T-Rex, if only because we never saw pictures of possible layouts for that (did we?). And if RMC can offer "traditional" Gigas and Hypers for less than what the competition costs, I could see parks going for them.

Why is it called the "split" rex?

I only know as much as the pictures show- but I believe the simplest visualization is to split the Raptor track in half and put some space between it. Really hope this one sticks and gets a couple buyers, those layouts look sick- I'm a sucker for a gigantic ejector hill like that. Hopefully we see more of this at Orlando's IAAPA.

One of the issues with T-Rex track was that it was difficult for RMC to make track pieces that large. It appears they solved that issue by making two smaller track pieces with a gap in between. If I remember correctly, RMC said someone would have to buy three T-Rex coasters for the model to go into production.

There was a sample piece of larger track they showed off next to the original display piece of Raptor track. It was only about twice as large as the Raptor though, while the T-Rex in drawings almost as wide as a 2-wide train is like 10 times bigger. That inconsistency is why I saw T-Rex probably not happening, a track that big is underused for a 300' coaster and way too large for their methods. I have pointed out they could make a box spine for an enlarged IBox track, as far as a reputation for smooth coasters IBox is flawless.

Schilke came up with the T-Rex concept as a 500-ft tall coaster and not a giga!

330ml on Reddit found that one of the demo layouts seems like it was designed for Everland in Korea (who recently had RMC retrack their Intamin Prefab)
