I am so curious about how operations go for the Mummy. It feels like cars are dispatched every 27 or so seconds. I think it would make a great episode of some series I know on ElToroRyan's channel.

I wasn't a fan of this ride either was my son. Felt like a long wait for very little of a payoff. I was there last week. Ride did go down a few times when we went by.

Yeah, I'm a huge fan of Mummy. It is sorta short, sorta cheesy, sorta uncomfortable, and sorta shows its age, but it's that same brand of "charming, campy, original Universal" that ET hits so perfectly for me. I acknowledge that it's probably an objectively worse attraction than Gringotts for most folks, but you'll find me in line for Mummy far more often than you'll find me in Gringotts' queue.

I mean gringotts is a simulator, and while the coaster sections of mummy could be more pronounced, its still great

I honestly don't like to compare the two. Mummy is a themed high-speed thrill ride (with a higher height reguirement) where Gringotts is a hybrid coaster-simulator family ride.

In the last two years of going to Uni, I don't think I've ridden Gringotts once.

But I'll go out of my way to ride Mummy for sure.

As a dark ride, I like Mummy's dark portions better. As a coaster, Mummy outclasses Gringotts in every way. The coaster segments on Gringotts are too short and you travel through the dark ride segments too fast so you can't really take anything in. Most of your time is spent staring at screens. Honestly if there was a longer, more intense coaster segment at the beginning and the end, I would like Gringotts a little more.

Screamscape is noting that Mummy is expected to be down for rehab for roughly 8 months next year.

So just buy the 1-park ticket when you go ride VelociCoaster during those 8 months I guess. I mean I would easily trade 10-25 additional laps on VelociCoaster for spending an extra $60 to watch a bunch of 3D movies and ride Rockit/MIB/Transformers/Gringotts.............wow this post became "I think USF is meh" so fast. Whoops I mean it's next to VelociCoaster at least.
