I'm curious to know if anyone has gone to SFA lately? I've never had a desire to go, but they do seem to be building and improving. Hopefully someone gives a trip report soon.

I haven't been this season, I did go last year and several times in seasons past. Its a smaller park, with an older coaster collection. With each new addition each year they are really putting effort into nice clean themeing for it and the surrounding area. When they added Apocolpyse a couple years ago they really cleaned up the Skull Island Area, it looks fantastic. My only gripe is that they aren't putting that same amount of work into the park's existing areas, there are a lot of cracked paths that need to be replaced and the Gotham City area is quite faded and just one large open path area. Though I haven't been this season so I don't know if they have worked on any of these things. The park is clean, has some unique coasters and is at least worth a "credit grab" if you are into the whole coaster credits thing.
The Mardi Gras section used to be the SouthWest Territory which was very much worse for wear with a lot of shuttered shops, game booths, and even a shuttered coaster station. From the looks of the pictures they have totally cleaned up the whole area and are using all of the old shops again with new facades and all the rides in the area got new paint/names then there is the addition of the new Spinning Wild Mouse.
I'm hopeful that SFA will continue to revamp the other sections each season, even if it is a retheme as it has been in these last two additions.

I just noticed that it looks like Rajin Cajun doesn't have any kind of station coverings/awning/shelter which I find kind of troublesome. railryda ie. Airtime is the writer for SFAFans.com so maybe he can give some insight into what is going on and what changes have been made this year.

Sorry all.. I haven't been around much this summer. Even after Mardi Gras opened, the park continued to make improvements to it. There will be a awning and cover over the ride platform from Ragin' Cajun. They had the frame up a few weeks ago when I was there. If they haven't finished it by now, I expect it will be done shortly. You can see some other pictures here.
