This is the most amazing roller coaster ever!
But what made them change the seat harness? It was red, now it's more like a NASCAR seat belt

They changed the harnesses due to the fact that the turns were way to sharp for the normal OTSRs, and riders often complained about getting jabbed in the neck because of it. They went to the black harnesses because they're out of the way of the rider's neck and are more parallel to the shoulders instead, providing a much more enjoyable experience.

They were rather comfortable, yesterday was the first time I rode it. I was freaking out because their werent any handles lol

They were never suppose to have those god awful red ones, I believe there was a mix up when it was ordered and the hard red ones came instead of the black cushion belt thing. Which was a very smart move on their part. It really made the ride 100x better since you didn't come off with your head hurting.

And they're handles. Just not in the normal positions.

Look at were the guy in yellows hands are resting.

Well I never rode it with the red ones so I wouldn't know, but I loved everything about the ride, definately my favorite coaster

I never even noticed that, maybe bc it was dark and I was scared to death, I held on to the black part, but after the 1st hill I put my hands up for the rest of the ride

Dark as in night, the blacking out was what I was afraid of, but luckily I just grayed out on that first turn

Didnt they do some changes to the track like last year

Yes. There are three parts to i305's first two years in operation.

1) original layout - first turn around has no height change and is totally flat to the ground
2) trimmed - first drop and bunny hops are trimmed to reduce heat stress on wheels and to prevent riders from blacking out, follows original layout
3) current - first turnaround is remodeled slightly so that it inclines upwards to reduce speed and stress on riders, first drop trims removed but the bunny hill trims stayed.

Must be a totally different ride now without blackong out

There are very few people who have ridden all three forms of i305. But from what I've heard the forces were much different between the three. First form was relentless and borderline insane for how powerful the turns were. Second form was much calmer without air time over the first hill (and blacking out). Third form is like the happy middle or the pourage that's just right (people still grey out every once in a while).

I'm one of those very few people. And there is actually 4 different versions.
Original: 1. No trims 2. Red restraints 3. Non-modified turn
Mid-2010 year: 1.Trims 2. 2.Red Restraint 3. Non-modified turn
Mid-2010 year: 1. Trims 2. black cushion restraint. 3. Non-modified turn
2011-Current: 1.No Trims 2.black cushion restraint. 3.Modified Turn.

I don't look for intensity in a coaster (I've never been on Intimidator, so I don't have much of an opinion on it). I prefer the BGW way of an overall coaster experience, whether it be directed through theming, coaster features, or design.

Well i love bg coasters, but after I rode intimidator for the 1st time, it was the most amazing thing I've ever experienced. I can't even explain how intense it is. It's also a very well themed coaster, it really does feel like your in a race car on all the turns
