I mean, yeah, they do need to replace HRRR, and sure, USF needs a high-thrill, outdoor coaster to match Veloci and Starfall, and yes, HRRR is sorta in the new Minions land, but, uh, the Hollywood Drift ride system seems a little out of step with the Minions IP, right?

I just question how a minions theme could be implemented on a ride system that seems very high thrill. I also find it hard to believe that the park would want to have both Simpsons and HRRR down at the same time...

I’d love to see it be replaced with something that doesn’t go through the firehouse so it can become an entrance to a new ghostbusters show where jimmy fallon is. Honestly Universal has been 2/2 for new coasters so I’m betting whatever intamin replaces RRR is gonna be wild. Universal has also proved to make some quality stuff regardless of IP (excluding villain-con and supercharged) so if it’s not F&F I can see it still being quite good.
here my idea: replace rip ride rockit with a ride called: the universal musicoaster, a new hyper coaster that can fit well with the universal music plaza nearby, and maybe the ghostbusters fire station facade gets reused for a ghostbusters themed drop tower similar to tower of terror at the disney parks
One problem with that.
Dr Doom’s Fearfall exists not even a half mile away.
um, California adventure would disagreed with that comment
(because mailboomer & tower of terror both co existed in that park)

Mid/Late 2025: RRR is announced to be leaving.
2026/2027: Intamin Vertical Launch Coaster to replace RRR.
2029/2030: F&F Hollywood Drift type ride
2032/2033: Rumblings about a 5th land at Epic Universe opening in time for the Park’s 10th anniversary

I'm on team Ghostbusters coaster, rather than an East Coast version of Hollywood Drift (saves them from having to ALSO re-theme Supercharged in the same park - not everyone's favorite ride, but it did cost a lot to build and I think we're stuck with it for a while).

I think this’ll be something different and the Drift Coaster will happen at a later time.
Drive through a construction site with your radio at full volume and make frequent stops. Same experience.
