Part of me wonders why they’re going through so much effort to keep everything quiet when they essentially gave everything away via the ride survey a year ago. I’m not complaining, I actually really appreciate the efforts they’re making here, but the addition already seems super obvious to everyone, to the point where I don’t really see the point in trying to hide what it is.

That said, maybe I’m wrong about this and we end up getting something nobody is expecting
I'm honestly impressed this project hasn't been leaked yet, it's arguably the most anticipated roller coaster replacement of all time from the former world's tallest roller coaster. I would've expected something by now other than the survey we got, but I honestly think it's better like this until the reveal to stir up hype as others in the thread are saying.

As much as I’m curious about the layout/height/etc. I’d say I’m equally as curious about the theme, which they seemed to be really keen on getting right for its “storyline”. I know Coliwood used a lighthouse for the mockup in one of his videos - that makes me wonder if he has a clue about that
Well Lighthouses do feature spiral staircases....... Kinda like how the spinner video shows it going up the tower in a spiral.

I also really wonder how often we’ll get updates on this over the offseason since Coliwood and ARCM obviously can’t enter the park while it’s closed, unless GADV gives permission to Coliwood to fly a drone again. I know you can fly a drone legally on the opposite side of the lake on the other side of the park but I guess most of our updates might come from Force Concrete’s IG? The park itself hasn’t posted anything since the original construction updates

If there's significant progress and/or track arrivals in the coming few months, they'd be smart to put out a "big things are coming" kind of teaser mid-winter. Easily done and builds to the hoped-for spring announcement.

Depending on how much of the project the park intends to have complete by opening day, it might be advantageous for the park and their contractors to not say anything, then let everyone be greeted by the presence of a huge new mystery structure when they roll into the park next year. It's definitely more of an old-school approach, but for such a dominating project like this it could be more impactful than smaller teasers along the way.

Did a little mockup of the current footer layout in planet coaster and this is what I came up with... footer spacing is based on the previous diagrams on this thread to scale. Still got a bit to go on supports but the idea is there I incorporated the lighthouse idea a bit.

Stats
500ft Tower
150ft Launched Inversion
Launch 1: 72MPH
Launch 2 (Inverted) : 90MPH
Launch 3: 120MPH

To my disbelief at this scale it actually fits and works. Ended up pulling the same design into no limits at the same scale and got pretty much the same results. Realistically I cant see the real version hitting 500ft but I wouldnt be surprised to see it hit 400ft. All accelerations, speeds, and friction modifiers check out.

Realistically, it will need to go faster for a 500ft tower to go closer to the top, because that's the same speed that Dragster went for a 420ft top hat.

Thanks for all the likes! Please feel free to give any ideas on colors supports naming etc. I plan to fully flesh this thing out even if it turns out different in reality. Currently stuck on colors and tower theme.... would the lighthouse posted before be a bad move to model after?

As far as supports, I think we’ll almost certainly see a quad base instead of a tripod style. Almost like a power line tower.

So let me get this right...based on this overlay...the Kingda Ka "replacement" isn't even replacing Kingda Ka? What's the point? They could have angled the track so it goes into where Kingda Ka was instead of shooting straight out and back into a parking lot.

I think the current theory is that Kingda Ka was meant to operate for one more season. Because of the issues with Zumanjaro (supposedly the track cracked or something), NJ wasn't going to let Six Flags operate Ka without fixing Zumanjaro first so the company decided to just demolish the ride this year instead of spending the money to fix it for one more season.

This was planned before the decision to remove Kingda Ka was bumped up. People seem to get stuck on the the idea that the replacement for a ride has to utilize the same space as the former ride. It really doesn't matter, the "Green Lantern replacement" might utilize a completely different piece of land.

A part of me is starting to think this might end up having the exact same color scheme as TT2, especially if the lighthouse theme is true. Red and white track alternating for the tower would make a lot of sense for that theme, and we already know the supports are gonna be a similar grey.

The sheer amount of land available just from the GL and KK/GK plots is huge. They're putting in a new ride using more real estate than Ka did and they didn't use really any of its former footprint. There's such massive potential for future rides all hinging on the park rebounding. And this isn't even getting into the boardwalk area and the arena/Medusa area's possibilities.

I almost wonder if they save the lighthouse theme for the drop tower teased in the surveys and put that in the GL plot
