It really is just a dive loop with a fancy name. Should be slightly more exciting than the one on Great America's Goliath, cause this one will bank to the right before rotating left and diving towards the ground.
So we know who designed this ride? Because on rcdb it says Joe Draves, but in this video
at 16:03 they say that the chilly dip was an "Alan Schilke special"
Someone I'm in contact with asked Fred who designed the layout, and he said that Fred said it was both Alan & Joe. That would make sense considering Alan's retirement that Joe would be involved as well.
Mngmnt says, despite the delay in on property construction, the target date of opening is still May. The reason is that the same ppl who forge the track also do the construction, so track production is way ahead of schedule. He also says RMC and the workers are very excited about this project and are eager to get started and finished. FYI.
Thanks for the update! Keep us posted on anything more you hear regarding an opening date in the months ahead—I'm definitely plotting a trip down to Atlanta for this thing next year.
More parts. Bo activity yet on polls rising . Notice way back in the woods a crane truck, that's new. Crane truck in the foreground was moved due to stacking parts where it used to hangout
I love the zero car, but I also love that it employs the Formula 1 tactic of painting the thick bits black so it doesn't look as bulky at first glance.
Too dark to take the picture, but a lot of survey Stakes have been placed where the golf course used to be. And whatever that orange stuff is that surrounds a construction area has been put up. That's what these pictures are. And a whole bunch more of the white rails scattered throughout the roller coaster area in the back.
Still nothing going up, but there has been ground prep. Construction geeks will know what to call the shallow ditch with rocked blockades. Also pictured is a portion of the employee parking lot which has been graded and partially graveled. Two kiddie rides close to the bldg have been relocated out of the coasters path. I really want to see some skyward construction.
“Tallest roller coaster in Georgia” lol I’m looking forward to it. Love the transparency the team has provided thus far. $13,000,000 for ArieForce One. An impressive number.
