JACKSON, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Six Flags Great Adventure, the World’s Ultimate Thrill Park, in partnership with Warner Bros. • Riders experience a feeling of weightlessness at 172 feet in the air; and
  • Floorless seats that leave riders’ feet dangling as they whirl through the air.

To avoid making another thread there's a variety of updates going on around the park for the 2019 season. Also a nice place to share some info I learned about the park from my time there.

Superman was originally supposed to be repainted in 2016 along with Blackbeard in its conversion to Harley Quinn. That got delayed 3 years due to weather and other things taking priority in the park at the time. Glad to see they're getting around to it, DC Comics will be happy.

El Toro is receiving some fresh wood as apart of its annual maintenance services. Great Adventure's carpentry division has the prints for every single piece of track from Intamin so if any of them need to be replaced they can built them in-house instead of waiting for them to be assembled elsewhere and shipped in. And yes, I do mean piece. Like a steel coaster El Toro's wooden track comes in multiple segments that get bolted together to create the ride.

This image may be hard to identify but it is the bridge over the Saw Mill Log Flume to the Best of the West, most notably used as the exit bridge.

Finally, the M-porium is being reprofiled to Coaster Candy, and getting some appearance work done in the process.

Other things happening in the park for the 2019 season are the 20th season of Medusa / Bizarro, and the renaming of the last Six Flags Panda Express to Chop Six.
