Orlando Weekly said:
SeaWorld Orlando announced this morning that Sesame Street land will open in spring 2019.

The new immersive land will feature many familiar Sesame Street details, like Mr. Hooper’s store, Big Bird’s nest and the famous 123 stoop, as well as wandering characters such as Big Bird, Elmo and Cookie Monster. SeaWorld also noted that the area will feature both wet and dry play areas for all ages.

To top it off, for the first time ever, the park will also feature daily parades featuring Sesame Street characters and dancers.

"We are excited to transport our guests into the colorful and creative world of Sesame Street through immersive theming, character interactions and interactive play," said SeaWorld Orlando President Jim Dean in a press release. "Sesame Street at SeaWorld Orlando is an amazing addition to our park, providing more unique and memorable experiences for the entire family."

Construction is already underway for the new land, which will be located at the south end of the park, where Shamu's Happy Harbor currently stands.

It was announced in the 18 May press release:

“The agreement also makes it possible for Sesame Street characters to continue to appear at the existing distinct Sesame Street lands inside the company’s two Busch Gardens theme parks and SeaWorld theme parks in San Diego and San Antonio, as well as a new Sesame Street land to be built in SeaWorld Orlando by fall 2022.”

It looks as if they are trying to open it sooner than originally indicated, however.

Interesting they are jumping the schedule so much. I wonder if the second park willbe announced soon too? I hope they don't rush the job so much it doesn't turn out well. That's a quick turn.

I didn't realize that this was going to basically be a Sesame Place inside of SeaWorld Orlando. I assumed it was going to be more like a better themed version of Forest of Fun or Safari of Fun at the two Busch Parks. A full, accurate recreation of the iconic set is quite impressive all things considered. I really hope that this does well for them.

Based on the location of this section being on the outer edge of the park, if successful they could expand it into a full Sesame Place with the removal of Wild Arctic. I guess we will see what happens. The new land opens next Wednesday.

I will be there for both the media event and the AP holders preview. Double checking because on their Instagram they put a red line thru the 27, but will double check and I will be there tomorrow just to get away from working so much. Plus its like a 10 minute drive for us. I also been hearing that they have been doing the practice for the parade. The first pic is from Bioreconstruct and the second pic is from Twitter for SWO, so I am wondering if the grand opening is not going to be on the 27th, also on the 27th is when LEGOLAND park is having their grand opening for I believe Movie world, (not sure)

@SukaUniFl just a fair warning, I have heard the passmember preview is cancelled this weekend due to permitting issues. From my understanding (this is coming from the Seaworld Orlando Passholders Thread on Facebook) the area isn't finished and they can't get permits to allow guests in yet. According to the admins of this group, the flyer you attached from twitter was sent prematurely and they cannot deliver on this.

Would love some updates on if it opens for pass members tomorrow and Sunday and how accurate this group is. They claim to be directly connected to the marketing team at SWO.

Thanks at least you gave me more info then a spiel chat from several Guest relations TM's. I am still gonna go this weekend, just for something to do, Uni is fun but when you work there and go all the time, you need some fun and away time. Plus, my hubby hasn't rode MAKO yet, so this weekend he is getting on. Thanks again @musicman3204 for the heads up. It is greatly appreciated.???

@SukaUniFl no worries! This group claims to have a serious inside advantage, so I'm excited to find out how inside they really are. If it's open, send us LOTS of pictures.

As you mentioned, the guest relation spiel hasn't changed, so I'm curious to know why they'd inform a fan group but not make a formal announcement correcting the release.

Exactly and yes I will take a lot of pics, shall see. But if it isn't open I am gonna enjoy the Seven Seas Food Festival, I hear it's really good. I will let you all know once I get there tomorrow what is going on. Thank you again @musicman3204
