Gotta give props to SEAS on this one, a smart update / replacement to an older ride that has minimal impact on the park in terms of an environmental impact. Hopefully they can plant some shorter trees or tall bushes to hide the supports but other than that this was a solid decision and execution.
 
We posted a new article with information and pictures from today’s hard hat tour. The water coaster is very photogenic.

 
Ok....was just courious. I really hadnt read much about this ride till today and didnt realize they went the non LIM route. I hope weights arent extremely low to acomidate for the speed they want.

As promised, here are the random stats that we got at the construction tour, both from our media packet and the Q&A sessions.

Track/Slide length: 856 feet
Approximate ride time: 1 minute
Maximum speed: 35 feet per second
Total drop: 76 feet
Maximum riders per raft (excluding unknown weight limitations): 4
Minimum riders per raft: TBD, pending testing
Maximum rafts on the slide simultaneously: 2
Total number of rafts: 15

Testing should begin in early April.

If you go to the link I provided in my article, you will see that Cutback is a specific type of ProSlide water coaster. Ray Rush is not the same thing either.
