Hey I just came across this website while looking for some more information about the platinum passes. I bought 2 this year and since I'm going to Florida first before VA they redeemed the passes for me already and told me to just get them to reprint my passes when I go to Tampa Bay/Orlando because they can't mail the passes out anymore.

Has anyone else done this? I was able to login to my account no problem with the pass numbers they gave me so it doesn't look like it should be an issue.

Now my other question is I thought we were able to get discounts for quick queue and the animal tours at the other parks but it didn't seem to be a available online but Williamsburg is so apparently it might be only available at Williamsburg? Anyone have any experience with this? Thanks in advance!

I seem to recall that you can get the discounts in person at the other parks but not online. When they activated my kids passes two years ago, they actually shipped me the activated paper passes.

Unfortunately, based on experience, the Platinum benefits at other parks vary and are completely unpredictable. They seem to be eroding, in general.

There are usually some discounts available on-line: be sure to select the specific park you want.

You can also sometimes get discounts over the phone or in person. That said, the discounts are not consistent.

Although I have never gotten my initial pass in Florida, I did get my plastic card there without any problem.

Thank you both, I tried selecting the parks earlier and this is what I was seeing for SeaWorld Orlando and BG Tampa

For Williamsburg they show up though.

This is my first time getting season passes of any sort here(six flags great adventure is my home park) I wish everything was a bit more clear, the discounts on the quick queue and animal tours aren't a make it or break it thing for me anyway but would definitely be nice to use if possible.

I would try to call and see if you can get the discounts over the phone. As I said, we seem to be losing benefits.

You should be able to get discounts on everything you buy in the park, and free parking. Sometimes free preferred parking (I always try).

Edit: you can get ride again privileges and reserved show seating in Florida.

Also: welcome to our Forum. Let us know, if you have any other questions; you can find discussions about most BGW and KD topics here. And we are always looking for input on SFA.

Thanks I'll definitely let you know what I hear back and how it goes, I'm going at the end of March and driving so I'm aiming to hit up Carowinds(I have a cedar fair platinum pass as well) first then go to SeaWorld Orlando, Aquatica Orlando and BG Tampa. Williamsburg is about a 5 hour trip for me so figured I'd just get a platinum pass this year.

This forum seems great. I haven't actually been to Six Flags America yet but the general consensus I've always seen is to just drive a little further to Kings Dominion lol

I've always gotten parking if available. I've had someone question the pass for ride again but simply used the "I've never had a problem before" line. Online is pretty locked down. The reason they do this I think is that the cost of a platinum up there is just a hair more than a one park down here.

They emailed me back saying this but it ends up showing the same thing that I posted about in the picture which is nothing...

"You need to go to Tampa’s website and log in to the pass member website like you logged in on the Williamsburg one. The discounts should come up then."

The website tends to be broken, which is why I tend to call or try in person.

Definitely seems the way to go, I'll probably do that next week. Just wanted to post what they emailed me. I will say that I'm at least glad the customer service seems to email back in a reasonable amount of time.

I'm with Nicole on this, especially trying in person.

I've never had an issue with using my BGW Platinum pass at any of the Florida parks. On my last visit in November I got free preferred parking, $50 discounts on one day admission for some friends, and discounts all over the park on food and merchandise. I also got a discount on fish that you feed to the dolphins in Dolphin Cove.

If you have a Platinum Pass through BG Williamsburg, do you get free VIP Preferred Parking all the time? A team member said yes but when I emailed to confirm, they said no. I have a 2 park pass right now and I'm trying to decide if it's worth it to upgrade to the Platinum pass.

VIP Preferred Parking is an up-charge section in the England lot? Platinum gets you regular Free Preferred Parking in the England lot, supposedly guaranteed if you arrive before noon.

Anyone know of any benefits at Sesame Place for BGW Platinum Pass? I know my cups worked down in Tampa & Orlando for 99 cent refills (and they had $6 or so unlimited refills).

As far as I know BGW doesn't have any platinum perks that it limits to just BGW platinum passes. That said, every so once in a while in Florida I've ran into "Only FL platinum passes get _________" so be prepared for the occasional frustrating experience.
