Parkitect

Does anyone else here play the computer game Parkitect? I really enjoy its art style which is similar to the original RCTs. I’m from Virginia and I liked the idea of recreating the Virginia parks in the game, mainly to style the parks as if “I were in control”.

The game recently added an online multiplayer feature to allow several people edit the same map (like a Google Doc) and I take such a long fucking time to do anything in the game. Anyone interested in jumping in and adding their own take to my existing maps? I’m certainly no design pro so I’m also totally looking for input on all the existing stuff! This would be for Busch gardens Williamsburg and kings dominion.

I play a lot of parkitect with my siblings! There are some mods out there that make it incredibly versatile

I’ll need to figure out how to flop the map from single player to multiplayer but this is what I’ve got so far. When I started BGW back in 2018 on my laptop I had no idea what I was doing so I accidentally made it way too large, it might struggle to load/play on some rigs. As far as the layout, I’ve been doing a rough mimic for both. I’ve been wanting to cram old rides in with the new: big bad wolf next to verbolten, volcano, hypersonic, drachen Fire, drachen spire, darkastle. A big part of of this is me just learning how to explore the building mechanics, mods, and having fun doing my thing. My girlfriend thinks it’s hilarious that this is how I spend my free time. For the first year she called it my parking lot simulator lol

Some very sloppy progress! Began as “kings dominion” and then turned into a sandbox/unlimited budget montrosity. Want to have 4-5 clear and separate areas. That way the entire map doesn’t need to be “on” at any one time so I can actually have it make money!

A number of the coasters look obviously made by a first timer, I’m quite embarrassed about it haha. But there is indeed a volcano, hypersonic, FoF, backlot stunt, anaconda, grizzly, twisted Timbers (very proud of tbh), dominator, and racer 75. Intimidator is there but doesn’t look right
