That sounds very good, especially with the rye bread. That is about the closest that American bread can get to German bread. Bread on top of something breaded seems to be an American thing though.

I thought "apple slaw" meant the apple was sliced up and mixed with the rest of the slaw.?!
The pork seemed to be smaller than what was on the slider at the Germany Food Booth during F&WF.
The apple slice was bigger than the pork, and the rye bread dwarfed everything!!
Was a HUGE disappointment.
Though it tasted OK, the contents of this sandwich were just lacking in so many ways. Definitely not worth the high price and, well, I recommend that they just take the sticker off the window and sell the sliders next Spring.

Yes the machines didn't display the water option for a few days. I was offered flavored water instead though.
It would be strange for a freestyle system to not have a water icon. The water screen is normally where the hidden service entry icons are located. (spoilers) If you know where to tap on the water screen you can switch the system into service mode and tinker with the settings.

I believe the water icon was missing because the icons went crazy that day and were extremely out of place.

I have had only TWO pork shanks this entire year. The first was back on opening weekend in March; the second was sometime in April. In both cases, they were sub-par experiences compared to almost every shank I had last year. It is clear that these things have just sat in their warmers or whatever, dry out and have almost no flavor.
I tend to check them out when I walk by my favorite spots (Talking Tree Stand & Smokehouse Show Grill). As some may know, my preferred location is the Show Grill, but when it was open earlier in the season, shanks were not being offered there; then it closed down due to "budget cuts" until HOS. The Talking Tree stand is where you can get the bacon-wrapped version; it is not open all of the time, but when it is, the shanks have looked sloppy and unappetizing to me. I have not really wanted to get any more since the spring, and have generally dissuaded friends from ordering them. Those that couldn't resist, for the most part, were less than satisfied. Even a dear fried who traveled a great distance and had been dreaming of a bacon-wrapped pork shank ever since the wonderful meal we shared last HOS was, in his words, "disappointed".
I have not yet gotten a pork shank from the Show Grill since it opened back up, but I probably will give it a try this coming weekend. Hopefully this location is as GLORIOUS as it was last fall.

Also, this is but a part of the much larger problems in this year's culinary offerings that I've experienced. I'm sure many can guess the reasons behind it. More to say on that later.

The Freestyle Machines at Universal Orlando did not have a water option, when I was there last, so I had to find a fountain.
And, the Rib Spares appear to have been removed from the menu at Trappers Smokehouse. I get them practically every time I eat there. Last time I noticed they weren't on the menu but there was still a spot for them under the heat lamps. This time the name was completely removed so I didn't bother to ask for it.
