So I went to BGW this past Friday-Sunday.
Friday - Magnificently cold and raining. I still rode Griffon twice consecutively and it was awesome while at the same time horrible. I don't know if any of you guys were there but if you're a blond girl who was there with some man I apologize for the way one of the guys I was with treated you on the front row of Griffon.
Also I did one of those surveys in England about the park. I told them I was so-far impressed with the courtesy of the park staff which has (again, so far) been considerably better than the past few seasons. I also said that they should build Spain... Yes, I said it. I even suggested they install a new coaster call El Toro.
On Saturday there were more than the fifteen people I saw walking around on Friday. Nothing much to report except I enjoyed the new subtle changes to Celtic Fyre and I absolute one million percent ADORED Roll Out the Barrel. I thought the acrobats were wonderful and the singing was amazing and the performers really pulled it off. A++ all the way. I hope it stays, I thought it was absolutely terrific and I was actually sober. I tried to catch it again on Sunday.
On Sunday I and my friends were buying (yet another) bottle of wine in Italy and we ran into this delightful man who talked to us about the coasters. Wait, maybe this happened on Saturday. Anyway he was obviously an enthusiast and sir, if you're part of these forums please announce yourself because we were very happy to talk to you about how the coasters were too cold to run and all that business and whatnot.
All in all, a really great trip. I'm going back in less than two weeks and I hope to Bejesus it's warmer because a cold Busch is just a wet blanket. Especially since all the fun stuff (London Rocks, food and wine, Illuminights) all start later in the year. So seriously, a great stay and I can't wait to go back. Yay!
Also I found a lost lanyard and season pass in the men's restroom and the lady at guest services to whom I returned it gave me the FOULEST look as I handed it over. Fair enough, my friend. Fair enough.
