Heading down to Orlando this month to Universal and was going to jump over to BGT one day. Trying to figure out the best ticket situation. I have come up with two options:
1. Buy one single day ticket for $85 and one single day ticket with meal plan for $115 and pay for parking $35 - so $235 total
2. Buy a Silver Pass for $198. I would assume I could use the member benefit ticket for the second ticket I need and it would include parking but no food.
3. Is there another option I am missing?

Thoughts? Thanks

Couple other options:
1) Get a fun pass for $99 per person, as that would allow you to revisit BGT if you head down to Florida again this year. You will still have to pay for parking and meals would be extra.
2) If you are in Virginia and plan to visit any other United Parks properties this year, pick up a Platinum membership for youself at BGW this weekend for $315 per person. Not sure if the person you are going with goes to all of the parks with you, or if Florida is a one-off trip for them, and that would determine if you do single day ticket (with or without meal), fun pass, or Platinum membership for them.

It's my wife and I and we each have an unlimited membership currently to BGW. We go all of the time and this will be our only trip to Florida for the foreseeable future. We renewed our passes in June and paid in full upfront. I don't think they will prorate our remaining time on one of our memberships if we wanted to upgrade one of them, which is what I would do. Therefore, we would lose out on 6 months of membership cost.

You should be able to get then upgraded, per the attached FAQ snapshot, but you will need to go to BGW to do so...

Yup, Upgrade is the way to go if you can. Don't waste your time with bgt food, even the smokehouse has been bad as of late. If you do eat in the park, you're probably best just getting something to hold you till you can leave and get real food; unless you want to pay $2 per Chikfila nugget.

And if you upgrade, you might also want to spend a few hours at SWO. Manta, Mako and Malibu Pipeline are all great coasters.

I'd recommend going to Zeko's. The food there is way better than BGT's food, it costs about the same, they're always open late, and its within walking distance of the front gate. I've eaten there twice and its been good both times.
