I'm sure the locals are well aware of this, but wow, the park is dead right now! We've been everyday (except Saturday) so far and it's the slowest I've seen it since we've been going.

We went last night (Monday) after dinner. Got there @ 5:30. Rode Pompeii once, saw Celtic Fyre @ 6, two rides on Griffon, two on Alpen, 1 on Darkastle, 1 on the swings, 1 on Davinci's Cradle, and 3 on Apollo. Pretty good tally for two and a half hours (including a half hour show). So if you can make it this week. GO!

One side note. Most food/drink stalls and many of the shops were closed. Just to keep that in mind.

Have fun.

Well, went for a few hours this morning and it was more crowded then yesterday (weather was beautiful!) but still, no lines anywhere. Going back again tonight after dinner :)

No, I don't keep a coaster count (bad memory), but my son would be the one crushing everyone. My wife and I have to take turns with him while the other one is with our daughter, and it's not uncommon for him to hit all of them 5-6 times each when we're there for 4 or more hours. He's an addict...

You guys are SO lucky you can just go after work or on the weekend any time you like! Williamsburg isn't unthinkably far from Raleigh, NC but it does make season passes a bit unreasonable and getting there definitely requires a lot of pre-planning.

I'm an hour east in Rocky Mount, but would not give up my pass for anything. My husband and I love to have weekends when we just load up and go. Granted we don't get there as often as the locals, but we made our passes pay for themselves a loooong time ago.

I went yesterday and the crowd for loch was the longest that I have seen since I was 6. I called it nostalgically long. They even had the stuff in the themed queue area running(making noise and stuff). Now if only they would put the lights back in the tunnel. I would say that if the weather is good then you will run into crowds, at least until spring break is over, then Fridays are good. Going back to queue length, Apollo was back to the bottom of the stairs, Griffon filled the first room, and Alpengiest was in the room to the rear of the station only a few times during the day.

Spring Break has taken hold. It's best to go early in the morning now, or later in the evening. Of course you coud just wait until the fridays in May. Those totaly rock.

I'm fortunate enough to live so close to the park I can hear the whistle blow at night.

Yeah, we went yesterday (fri) afternoon. Got there around 4. Pretty packed, but really cleared out within about an hour. By 6 it was dead. We're skipping today, but will be back tomorrow:)

The line was long because the park does not have BBW to take away some of the crowd of smaller roller coaster riders.

Today was the deadest (if that's a word) I've ever seen the park. They didn't have anyone working the booths at the entrance or in the parking lot. You just drove in and parked. I've never seen that before. No wait for anything. My son and I went when he got home from school so we didn't get there until 4:45. We hit Pompeii, Apollo, Darkastle, Alpen, Le Scoot, Griffon, and Europe in the Air before the park closed @ 6:00 :) Just missed Loch Ness by 2 mins. Pretty productive.

I'm bringing my family up this weekend for our summer trip to VA to visit family and plan on going Monday, weather permitting. I'm hoping with school still in up there, it will still be pretty slow, unless there are a bunch of school field trips there. Reguardless, we'll be there sometime next week to take advantage of the free admission for military. My daughter is counting the days till her first ride on Griffon and Alpengiest.

We were thinking of going to Williamsburg on March 31 so we could be there the morning of April 1. I know Easter is the later part of April so I was hoping school would be in session on April 1. Does anyone know?
