I WANT TO GET OFF OF MR. SEAS' WILD RIDE!
I think it's definitely possible that it's geared towards Florida more than the other SEAS parksThis is why I refuse to update my pass from 2002. There's literally no structure at all. The pass benefits and tiers are so confusing and unbalanced that it makes it an intimidating process to just buy a pass. This is an interesting teaser though, it seems like this is going to be a big deal with such a significant announcement. Maybe some type of elite Florida pass?
I really hope this is the all parks platinum I’ve been waiting for.
Sidenote: Where did that photo come from @Jahrules?
The idea of buying a pass that gets you all the benefits at all the parks is really all I’m looking for. Not being able to access core benefits at other parks with platinum passes irks me.I am down if they have the "platinum" approach that Cedar Fair used (all-season dining that works at all the parks), one of the main reasons I keep my Cedar Fair platinum passes is for the food-included option for any of the parks that I visit. Couple this food-included option with the massive rollercoaster expansion at BGW; and that adds up to Cedar Fair losing my dollars as a season pass holder until they announce a worthy replacement ride for Volcano's departure.
I don't like saying this, but Cedar Fair (Kings Dominion by extension) is seemingly pushing me out the door with some of their decisions and/or lack of explanation for the future to make a regular season pass holder question spending my money on their product long-term.
Ah, seems about right.I was finally accepted to join this mysterious SWO pass member group. As far as I can tell the Facebook group isn't managed by SEAS at all and this SW Parks Pass thing is going to be some sort of website or resource or something run by the guy who administrators the Facebook group. Am I missing something here?

Screenshots so people don't have to join this random sketchy Facebook group like I did...

Sidenote: This is the type of shit that causes real problems for the parks. If I were SEAS, I'd be trying to force non-park-run communities like this one to further differentiate themselves from the parks with which they're associated. A group named "SeaWorld Orlando Annual Passmembers" with a header image speaking in the voice of the park is CLEARLY attempting to look like an official resource. SEAS should be out there aggressively trying to prevent things like this to better protect their brand and customers.
Also, frankly, fuck this guy for branding his organization "SeaWorld Parks Passholder Groups" and his latest offering as a "Parks Pass." It's such blatant imitation—seemingly designed expressly to confuse consumers. Absolutely disgusting.
Wouldn't be surprised if one is already on the way. It's at least worth a cease and desist from SEAS.
