MACK has been making some really great products...

I was more referring to theming. If I only get to one international park, it'll be Europa.

We should probably get back on topic though...

I'm a huge chunk of pure Norwegian, so Norge all the way!

The food is awesome, the mythology will provide endless inspiration, and there is nothing like a Norwegian Christmas.

Trolls! I would die to see trolls in BG. I need grass on the roofs too.

I vote myself Project Manager.

Julenissen, the gnome gift-giver > All

He totally used to bring gifts during Christmas Eve dinner and leave them in my shoes. He was alright by me, lol.

DoctorMoney has made some great points about the Russian idea. I still think it would be neat if BGW ever tried to pull it off. If a new hamlet ever came to existence, I think Spain would be the best choice. I also thought Norway would be cool too. Greece on the other hand, I'm gonna have to say "no" to just because it seems like it would be too similar to Italy. And I would not replace Italy with Greece either. Just my two cents.

Pitas...spinach pies...kabobs...greek salad...think about it.

I have to agree - Greece has a lot to offer... more so than a festival celebrating the "discovery" of Asia...

Maybe it's my age, I'll always equate Russia with Asia (not Europe) thanks to its many years as part of the USSR... I understand that's all in the past, but I think a segment of the population will have that same gut reaction...

Right, because the reason we go to BGW is the food. ( jk )

Maybe Greece could be a small hamlet near Italy. Though I don't see anything major being made with Greece. (Unlike Spain.)

I go for everything including food. In fact Shafer made me want Greece because of his food argument. Luckily I have Greek friends with Greek moms that make awesome food.

I'd like one too, I just don't know if it would be accepted well. I'm going down to Seaworld/Tampa in a few weeks, they have a full service restaurant there I believe. But far greater attendance. Maybe a smaller table service restaurant would work here. Festhaus kafe is always empty when I go. That's the closest we have to a made-to-order place as far as I know.

I worked for two Greek brothers for 7 years. Their mom and wives used to bring in food for us several times a week. It was heaven. Man, now I'm hungry.

Greece has a TON of very well-known mythology to play off of for rides and attractions. (Not to mention that delicious food!) I'm up in the air as far as what country I'd like to see because I think all of the mentioned options have some really great upsides to them and they'd all be interesting.

We may make fun of the food, but each country does serve their "traditional" fare in the park. What are we going to have if it's Spain or Russia? Paella and borscht? Not really park-friendly. But say Greek things like kabobs, pitas, gyros, and such, people love that stuff. Or if you went for Sweden, you'd have meatballs and... smoked salmon? The point being, don't rule out food as a contributing factor.

As I said, I'm fine with redoing Festa as Greece.

As for a Nordic themed area, while not well known, they could easily do seafood.

I'm not ruling food out. Its just not my #1 priority when visiting an amusement/theme park. Don't get me wrong: I love to eat! (Like most Americans.)

And if were focusing on the food part of the small "Italy vs. Greece" debate: I love Italian food a lot more than Greek. And for the mythology, (correct me if I'm wrong) but didn't the ancient Greeks and Romans have very similar mythologies?

It could fit Festa, but retheming Festa to a busy Greek market of temple would work out good. I'm not sure the GP get the whole Marco Polo theme.

Adding Greece is one thing, replacing Italy with it is another. Italy's a great hamlet, I'd hate to see it go. And if we didn't have Italy, the GP would probably be asking why we don't (kinda like how we don't have Spain). I'd be really upset with BGW if they ever decided to get rid of Italy.
