I'm not sure what their "huge" announcement is this year but there really isn't going to be anything that huge happening in Food and beverage but I can probably preempt them some.

Here's just a couple changes that I know of.
1. The snack shop in Der Marktplatz has been completely renovated and is becoming a self serve location like aquataine refreshments in France.

2. This year during food and wine there will be a throwback kiosk that will have a menu that changes each weekend. The menu will be items from food and wine kiosks that are no longer at the park.

3. Apparently the working title for the La Cucina remodel is Edesia's Eats. This remodel is probably the most exciting thing happening this year. Currently it's supposed to include a full service bar on the outside where the registers used to be. The menu that we've already seen is the one that's currently planned for the new restaurant.

4. There's going to be another new food stand in Festa Italia where the South Korea kiosk is normally located. Last I heard it was going to serve gyro style wraps. That was about 6 weeks ago though so maybe it's changed

Those are probably the 4 of the biggest changes coming this year. Whether any of these are actually anything that they know about or are teasing I don't know.

Regarding that particular group:
At least one of the admins is definitely an employee and they've done contests/giveaways before where they've given out qq vouchers.. I think they even did a free 'burg hotel package as well... so I wonder how much the park is involved in green lighting content for this fanpage or not..

They aren't supported by the park to my knowledge and I would be surprised if they were. Any giveaways that they are doing they are paying for themselves. To my knowledge the admin you are referring to is just a ride operator.

There are quite a few people who post on it though who do work in the park and would know what they are talking about. But none of the admin team.

I wouldn't go about posting on their page in an effort to do that. If I did that then people would have better idea who I am and then it would potentially get one or two of my sources in trouble.

Rumblings same as you I'm sure but nothing concrete. I'll try to get some more information.

I think that's likely. I had already posted the updated names for the food items so I'm not sure why that is a surprise though.

I think, when it comes to food offerings, they look at what the public wants, is not complicated to prepare in large quantities and is profitable. I think that criteria is more important than whether it fits the "theme" of a hamlet.
