Motor City Groove opened in the Desert Grill (later Pantopia Grill) on Tuesday, January 14 2014. The park's website describes the show:

The “Detroit Sound” musically defined and inspired a generation. Enjoy the sights and sounds of this very special time as our talented singers, dancers and musicians perform the music of the soul era.

The show went on hiatus in Spring 2014 when Burn the Floor: Untapped began its seasonal run. Motor City Groove returned in the late summer, and is currently playing at the theater.
