Final thought of the day since there isn’t much else to report… Why spend millions(?) on a brand new event space to put a maze as shitty as Monster Manor in it. Like really, what the fuck is Monster Manor?!

I will give them some credit. The big bad wolf and little red are chasing people in front of the Festhaus. Super cool little teaser tie in!

I dont think monster manor is finished yet at all so i wouldnt fully judge it yet

God Monster Manor is... something else. What even is the story? Is it a manor? A factory? Why does it seem like many of the actors are wearing BGW worker vests with blood on them? Why is it so easy to see behind the scenes in areas and see other actors scaring lol Such a weird bizzare layout.

We were suppose to go through the Crawlspace? I thought that was an actor only area. If it isn’t, they had it blocked off with a scare actor last night.

I also walked right into a dressing room situation in Monster Manor. Walked right through - mid maze - through a curtain leading to 2 tents and a backstage area.

Apparenly. When I went, everyone before and after me were going through it, and they had an actor rushing everyone through it.

I banged my head fairly decently on it as I was exiting the tunnel and saw others do the same. Honestly it doesn't seem well thought out. There is a regular walk way right to the side that is for ADA compliance I would not be shocked to see the tunnel blocked in short order.

Stranglewood in Tampa has a crawl space. Last night there was a scare actor directing people to choose between the tunnel and a normal door. It was definitely there all last season, and presumably since the house debuted.

I didn’t notice anyone having any difficulties navigating it and I certainly didn’t have a problem going through it last year or last night.

The issue with the one BGW is that when you get to the exit there is a trim around the exit that hangs down about 2 inches further then the rest of the tunnel it's hard to see when you are couched down and is solid enough to HURT when you smack into it. I did multiple walk through and on half of them they let you chose which way to go the other half the monster blocked the way around and directed everyone into the tunnel.

Haven't seen it at night yet, but after a daytime walkthrough, holy shit, that is one of the most amateurish, unsophisticated, cheapest, most disappointing-looking houses I've ever seen anywhere. Many of the worst Six Flags Fright Fest houses look superior to this thing. Even the likes of 21 up at KD, one of the most widely-panned houses I can think of, looked FAR better than Monster Manor.

What the hell happened during its development? Whatever it is, it's inexcusable. BGW hasn't been building great houses lately, but comparing Monster Manor to even the likes of Lost Mines is... Horrifying... And not in the way BGW wants.

Just got out of Monster Manor and the true horrors that lied within included:

1. All of the scare actors wearing regular team member uniforms symbolising the horrors of BGW operations.
2. The old Battle for Eire headset on a mannequin named Stephanie. Being forced to ride Battle for Eire for all eternity sounds like a fate far worse than death.
3. All of the abandoned and destroyed kiosks that used to be used for pass member reward redemption. They were scary enough in themselves, but the fact that they have been relocated there and replaced by the kiosks that don’t work at all is truly terrifying to think about.

Jokes aside, a really weird house it was pretty mid with 75% of the house being completely empty. It took pretty much the entire time to even piece together what the plot was supposed to be, and even then it is a half baked guess at best.

Sort-of serious question… is this worse than 21 (not FEAR) at KD?
