that is a welcome addition.  I hope they are a pay once use anywhere system.

It will probably be similar if not the same to the locker system that was installed at Tempesto this year. Which means the advantage is being able to use your credit card and being able to open and close it multiple times, unlike the current ride lockers where you can only open and close them once for $1.

Booo, now I can't be a slacker and just throw my cup in a locker when I go on a rollercoaster.

(Note, I do not disagree with Busch Garden's policy to change this and think it is actually good. I am just a cheap individual taking advantage of a situation).

I'm sure it will. But that does not mean that they can not be inter-connected. I am not saying they will be, just that it would be nice if they were.

I welcome the new lockers, but wish there were more of them during events such as Halloween when we couldn't find an available locker anywhere because they were all taken.

In addition to these lockers, permits have also been filed for tram waiting area shelters. Three permits have been filed for the tram stops that don't currently have shelters, the Germany parking lot, the Italy/Ireland parking lot and the main entrance stop for those two stops. So in other words, all the non-overflow lot tram stops, because the overflow stops already have shelters. Here is a permit for one of the three shelters(the three permits are basically the same, except for how they are for different tram stops):

A cantilevered shelter will basically be similar to the overflow lot's shelters that have slanted roofs.

The ones at Tempesto appear to use the same system that KD uses and theirs are not connected. Not saying that they can't be but having used it at KD I don't think it's supported by the system.

KD's system is trash. I paid $20 for a locker in Soak City and was only in there for an hour.

Not saying the price point will be the same as BG's, but it's a fairly easy system for the parks to manipulate. I don't care for them.

BG needs to invest in platform bins.

SeaWorld Orlando is adding these lockers in most places now. It costs one dollar per hour. The biggest problem I had with the old lockers was losing change. It's now at a point where the people at Tempesto/Apollo Gifts give away extra coins if you have trouble.

It really spoils you using the Universal locker system. They have that figured out and it works well. Having to pay for the lockers to ride is a negative in my book. At least I could stash my camera and wallet in the locker there without incurring a fee to ride. But I understand the complexity of the timed system they use. Each ride locker station adds an attendant just to oversee the lockers. But more jobs is better, right? I missed having a good camera at BG this past trip. I'm sure the wife didn't mind though.

You could buy your own fanny pack.

Pro: Great storage option for rides.

Con: You own and walk around in public with a fanny pack.

I hate to say it but I'm honestly not opposed to the return of fanny packs. They are weirdly convenient, especially for visiting theme parks.

We purchased a fleece type jacket with zip pockets (one on upper left chest and two side pockets.) I had a credit card and ID in the upper along with my car key, my cell phone and small camera in the others. Worked perfectly and never had an issue with rides or having to put things in lockers.

Curious does anyone have any idea if they are installing them at WCUSA to? Seems to that it would be a better match for them.

They had already installed some near Hubba Hubba Highway this year. They had 3 different sized lockers going at different rates. I don't know if I could see them replacing the other all-day lockers, but they potentially could. I just wonder if they would make the entire system automated so no employees had to work registers or anything like that.
