does anyone have any pictures of this maze, i know it was taken down very early compared to the normal life span of haunts’ houses due to being “disrespectful to dead miners” and i think that’s what’s giving me the difficulty of seeing any photo evidence of what the house was like aside from a few things.

This is a pretty strange video I found on YouTube but it’s the only footage I’ve seen of Miner’s Revenge. It does give a decent daytime look at how the maze was set up.

How do y’all feel about all the backlash KD got for their Miners Revenge maze while Busch Gardens new Lost Mines: The Descent attraction doesn’t seem to be getting the same backlash as this old KD house.

Wasn't the issue more to do with the timing of a mine tragedy occurring only weeks before the announcement of the house?

Apparently the biggest issue was with the description of the maze itself. For those who have lost people in mining disasters, I can understand where the description of miners boiling to death underground would be disturbing.

Does the description and nature of the maze necessitate getting rid of it? I don’t know. I kind of see both sides of it, but it sets a weird and unfair precedent, because anyone who’s been a victim of violent crime could then just file complaints about ANY haunt event where people are acting like they’re going to hurt you even though it’s all in good fun. I guess I’m torn on the issue now, though at the time I didn’t agree with removing the maze.

My observation is that reactions like this are largely driven by poor timing and whether concerns happen to gain momentum. For example, in 2014 BGW was bullied into removing every severed head from HOS, because of ISIS.
