I recently got to experience this ride. Let’s just say, one ride was more than enough.
Sad for a 6 year old coaster to be in that state already.

Looks like Mine Blower is getting the 208 ReTrak treatment. Kinda sad for a 6 year old ride. But definitely needed. Interesting that they liked RMC's product more than the Titan Track alternate they let GCI try out on White Lightning.
This has to sting if you're GravityGroup. I really do think it's deserved though. The thing was rough from day one and it sounds like it has only gotten worse.
Wow! Anyone have a clue on when it will be done? Seems a bit late to get started for the summer season. I'll be down in the area for IAAPA this year and hope to hit the fun spots for some coaster crews.
From RMC's viewport, they would probably like it done by IAAPA. It would be a great way to show off what they can do with an unridable coaster.
If this is the only shipment of track they're expecting, it could be installed fairly quickly. Probably 1 to 2 weeks. But if they're expecting more track to come, it may be a bit different.
This is a very very interesting development. While Mine Blower was always a bit rough it was prototype to begin with. But to top it off - it never really got the regular maintenance it needed. It kept getting rougher and rougher and they never really did much to help it out. I'm glad they are doing something with it but IMO it should never have gotten here.
Last time I was in the Orlando area I went to both Fun Spots and Mine Blower, White Lightning, and Freedom Flyer were all rougher than when they opened in the same way. My ride on Freedom Flyer was like there was a flat spot on the wheel of the car I was in.

It’s a replacement for their old topper track. Based in the I-box style track.
This is a massive project. It won't reopen until next year.
Put it in layman's terms. Will this ride like wooden track or will it now ride like a steel coaster like RMC i-box?

Just looking at the two products side by side, I believe the main difference in the 208 ReTraK to the IBox track is how the track connects to the structure. IBox seems to require the metal I beams as a connector while the 208 ReTraK has a bracket that will connect it directly to the wood ledger. IBox looks to have an additional steel plate on top where as the 208 ReTraK doesn't. I'm sure there is more to it, but that's what I can see.
Rideability, I'd imagine it's similar to IBox, but marketed as a different product since its main purpose is to replace high maintenance sections of an existing ride. Probably won't see this product as ground up build or even reimagining of an existing ride (Twisted, Iron Gwazi, Wildcat, etc.).

^Perfect summary. It's essentially an evolution of New Texas Giant's (the prototype) track. Topper Track has effectively been killed off, this is what they're using to 'refurb' wood coasters now.
