Last year was a shit show. Insane long lines for the couple rides open, security was in charge of ice cream instead of controlling the fight. We left not long after it started .The one they had a few year ago was actually enjoyable, live band, low crowds……

Yeah, I remember that and glad I didn't attend in 2021. Given that it would cost me $20 in gas round trip from Richmond after work, and with the continued suboptimal state of park ops, I am thinking I might skip it again.

I wanted to come out today, but between picking the kids up at school and trying to get through the tunnel I probably wouldn't make it there until 6pm.

Considering last years experience and the freakish long queue for Aquazoid (like just distance to walk, not even wait time) I am not sure how much we would get out of this event.

The park had on social media that the event was full and there were no open spots for additional guests at around 4 that day. I have no info beyond that.
That doesn't really mean too much. The event required registration, but registration was free.

Anyone that would consider potentially going probably signed up to the point where they ran out of the allotted capacity.
How many actually went is a different story.

For example, I signed my kids and myself up, because I really wanted to go, but after picking my kids up from school the tunnel was so backed up that we wouldn't have arrived at Water Country until about 6pm.
With the gas prices right now it's hard to justify a 3h trip for 2 hours at an overcrowded event.
