Chalk this up as another “I’ll believe it when I see it” project, but Mattel wants to build a third park (the other two haven’t opened yet and keep getting delayed) and this would also include their first indoor water park. No location mentioned except in the Orlando Area:

And let me put this out there: there is not a SINGLE fully indoor amusement/theme/water park in all of Orlando. This is something that is desperately needed in my eyes.
There is a reason that none currently exist. They are very expensive to build, and without cold weather, there is not a major market demand.
And no, 72F in February is not cold, especially when the water is heated.

counterpoint: Florida sees daily afternoon thunderstorms, which a fully indoor park would not have to worry about impacting their operations.
In my experience FL water parks have enough places to seek shelter though.

I did have the pleasure of speaking with ProSlide for a while and the topic of this project came around. They obviously couldn’t say if they had any work for this project but it did sound implied that they are doing at least something for the project. Unrelated, it also sounds like they have work down the pipeline for United Parks as a whole, so keep an eye out.
