Here's a terrific 80s-era Vekoma marketing video, sent by a friend of a friend. Lots of classics in here, flats and coasters, about half of which contain technology lifted directly from Arrow.
The Canyon Trip ride (aka Gladiator's Gauntlet) appears at 4:00. Looks every bit as dull in Japan as it was in the US.
So much to see in this vid! Roller coaster road wheels lifting off the track while moving up the lift... restraints being released while the train is still very much in motion entering the station... engineering offices packed with drafting boards, straightedges, and pencils... the Flash Dance, a ride which I had never seen in action before...and more. That sweet soundtrack!
