Canada's Wonderland recently had a Q&A session with a group of enthusiasts at the park. The CoasterCircuits Blog compiled a transcript of the entire Q&A for easy reading. There is actually some great questions and candid answers about the parks rides and operations. I thought the information about Vortex (Arrow Suspended Coaster) was quite interesting. Check it out:

As an engineer, it is always neat to see what the maintenance and engineers have to say about their rides. Interesting that their largest lift motor pulls 1000 FLA. Probably why Consign programs the lift motors to slowly jog when not in use: avoid startup spikes. Must be one huge circuit breaker (largest one I've worked with was 800A).
