I've never been to KD and was thinking of going while passing through the area - then I checked the website and a bunch of attractions are listed as not open. It's April now - anyone know what's going on as this seems a little crazy?
- Delirium - was open for the majority of the winter months and is now undergoing annual maintenance.
- Drop Tower - they have been waiting on apart from Intamin since before Halloween Haunt
- Eiffel Tower - the elevators require lots of maintenance and parts are always in short supply. I'll blame the supply chain on this one.
- Grand Prix Raceway - gas prices too high? Seriously though, I'm not sure.
- Grizzly - major track work with redesigning/ reprofiling a good portion of the ride
- Intimidator - Historically, this ride always opens up with the park in late March, early April. Given what we know that this is an Intamin and Drop Tower is still waiting on parts. And we can see that Falcon's Fury (Intamin) at BGT is also struggling. I'll blame Intamin's supply chain for this closure.
- Shenandoah Lumber Company- it's a water ride. While KD typically will attempt to open this with the park in years past. If staffing is an issue. It's much easier to keep this attraction down until Memorial weekend or open a few weekends before daily ops.
- White Water Canyon- same thing with this one, but it's also an Intamin. So there's that.
- WindSeeker- I'll change my theory on Delirium since this ride is down and was not open in the wintertime. Since Delirium and WindSeeker are both Mondial's and both are still down. I imagine they're still waiting parts from Mondial. So again, my theory is supply chain.
