Just moved to the area and got my BGW season pass. Was curious about the loose item policy as I read somewhere you are now required to rent lockers to stash your phone and keys.
I was curious about zipper pocket pants as I've read elsewhere some parks let you keep your items on your person since the zippered pockets won't come undone during the ride.

Is that the case with BGW?

From my experience, BGW has not required small items (that can be fit in a secure pocket) to be placed in a locker. With Gwazi in Tampa being RMC'd and RMC's being very forefull and having much stricter policies, there is the possibility that SEAS will implement a Gwazi-Safe loose article policy company wide, but I doubt they will change that for BGW this year. I always go to parks with zipper/full seam Velcro cargo shorts and have never had a problem. At Tempesto, they will not allow anything in your pockets, but they provide courtesy fanny packs to use on the ride or a loose articles bin, both for phones/wallets/glasses. All rides will prohibit handheld items (except maybe sunglasses, but they are safe on your face anyways) and bags will always have to be placed in a locker before you get in line. Again, cargo shorts/pants are your friend.

I've never had a problem with the staff concerning zippered pockets the few times I've used them. I wasn't discreet when I did it but I'll try to get in touch with BGW for this.

Seas has allowed fanny packs chain wide so I've been using one at the park for the past year and I really like it. Unfortunately texas stingray apparently has a no fanny pack policy so I am nervous they're turning heel on them...

I just got a response. They sai "zippered pockets are more reliable than velcro" but it didn't seem that they had a problem. They also expressed that they had lockers to keep things in, of course.

I always buy a few pairs of cargo shorts with zippers just for my park trips. As a side question what do the other glasses wears do with theirs. I always bring a case and pocket mine but feel like the loss of vision causes me to miss part of the coaster experience.

Also as a side note if you have a gopro type camera you can bring it with amount but have to take it to the customer service station to get them to check it and approve it.

I just wear my glasses on the Busch rides. I did get a glasses strap when I last went to CP. My dad just wears his contacts (which he doesn't usually wear outside of work). I have never had a problem. Also, I second GoPros. Bring with a chest harness or wrist strap and you are all set. You dont even have to wait in line at GR, just go to your first ride, usually they will let you in the line and have a supervisor meet you in the station to give you a "Camera Card" for use all day. Flash the card at the ride entrances and have fun!

I used to wear my glasses on rides, but one time on Bolt, my neighbor accidentally bumped me in the face and my glasses fell off coming down the big hill over the Rhine. Luckily they landed on the floor and somehow stayed there until the end of the ride, but I’ve never wanted to risk it again, so I’ve just switched to contacts for park visits which has been such a nice and freeing experience. I have also contemplated a glasses strap but haven’t bought one yet.

I've never had an issues with items in pockets (velco, button, zipper) except on Finnegan's Flyer. They won't let you have anything in your front pockets. You have put them in a locker or in one of cubbies on the ride platform.

Busch Gardens Tampa has just implemented a policy where no loose article are allowed, have sealed off the bins and force you to use a locker. I hope this policy goes away and doesnt spread, for the sake of my wallet and their bottom line.

While I was supervisor at Griffon, we used to call the base of the lift hill where the chain dog engages the Pocket Cleanser 3000... For all of the pocket change and things from people's pockets that fell out when the train tilts up and kind of jerks the lift chain.

the 90s called. They want all their fanny packs back. STAT
Hey man fanny packs are back in style and they're here to stay! Fanny pack over cargo shorts all day (sorry cargo lovers).
I just bought a new fanny pack for this year and will gladly use it every time so I don't have to rent their lockers that nobody knows how to use in the first place. It's so annoying when guests don't understand they have to hit the "END RENTAL" button once they're done. Just clogs up the whole system, especially on busy days.

I think I read somewhere that this was RMC policy. If so it's likely there to stay.

It's still technically BGT policy. RMC can only make recommendations when it comes to that. From there it is up to the operations, engineering, and legal departments. SEAS parks generally stick to most of the recommended rules though.

Quick question; the only thing my family of four brings with us into parks is a small backpack. Does BGW have an all-day-moveable-locker option with locations at the major attractions? I've scoured the website and can't seem to find individual ride-info with regards to bins to stash items in or specific locker info (it simply says, "you bag must go in a locker"). Just trying to get a handle on the locker situation in the park.

Thank you!

Yes $8 for all day. You can keep it at one location for up to 2 hours at a time.
