WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (WAVY) – No injuries, but minor equipment damage was reported, after lighting struck one of the administration buildings at Busch Gardens Wednesday after midnight.
The strike occurred around 1 a.m. and hit an administration building near the employee parking lot.
Officials reported no fire, but evidence of a lightning strike. Minor damage to an electrical box was found. The administrative building was fully operational by morning.
Officials also said the lightning strike did not affect anything in the park’s public areas.
