News Legoland New York Project 2024: Minifigure Skyflyer (Leitner-Poma Gondola)

Watching a video update from The Coaster Spot (great channel, by the way!), they have a video for the Christmas event at Legoland New York. Right near the Carousel, they mentioned there is construction for a new chairlift that will get guests uphill from the base of the Miniland/Pirate area (and vice-versa) for 2024: (timestamp 2:45 in video)

Also mentioned, rumors of a new coaster for 2025 from an employee. Not getting hopes up, but that is a positive sign. At timestamp 4:20 in the video, there's also construction footage for presumably another attraction, but no word on what this is for. This could be the lower Chairlift station, but it's not confirmed.

LEGOLAND deserves infinite amounts of praise for installing a new, ground-up transportation attraction in a park in the year 2024. An investment like that is nearly unheard of. It won't sell many tickets in the short-term, but it will be a beloved and immensely valuable guest experience asset for decades.

I'm sure the hillside and the hikes have been their number one guest concern ever since opening. It's great to see them acting on it, first with the new stairways and paths and now with this new form of transportation that might become a true attraction of the resort. I expect this to get you some awesome views of Miniland and the whole area.

Merlin has recently stepped up their game for the LEGOLAND parks and the UK resort theme parks significantly.

This gondola is definitely needed. The path leading down from the upper section had a bunch of switch backs, and kids being kids, would just cut straight down the middle, leaving a big worn path on the new grass.
