I hope he recognizes the neglected soul of this park. I understand geopolitical issues arise in Africa that Europe doesn't necessarily deal with, but there has been a clear base of continental theming at Busch for years. There are plenty of world heritage sites, natural wonders and famous stories in Africa, absolutely zero excuse to loosely tie everything around "nature." We've seen Asian, Australian and now South American theming added in "Wild Oasis." This jumble of uncoordinated theming is a microcosm of how private equity firms can distort a beloved local staple.

Didn’t visit the park under his tenure but he seemed genuinely excited about the future of Great Adventure, and I’ve heard he was pretty visible day to day. Glad the layoffs didn’t have him out too long.

Literally July. And the park president before that, Jeff Davis, was in the role from May of this year to July. Whoever the acting park president is now is at least the FOURTH person in that seat JUST THIS CALENDAR YEAR.

I don't know what's going on inside BGT, but it certainly feels like the park president job down there must absolutely suck for one reason or another.

The park can run well, with the right kind of management in place, without a park president. I never understood the point of even having park presidents, especially for small parks like Six Flags and SeaWorld. It can save them so much money by not even having that kind of position.
