Kevin Malkin, Previous Forston and Anastasia Hedgepeth, of Lawrence, said they were visiting "The Wizarding World of Harry Potter," at Universal studios in Florida when they decided to go on a ride.
The group was partway through the roller coaster ride when it broke down, leaving them all stranded in the air, the lawsuit said.
"(Universal Studios) allowed plaintiffs to remain in a suspended upside-down position midair while ignoring their cries and screams for help," the suit said.
The group went on to say that the time they spent in the air was, "elongated" and nearly an hour.
They did not go into details about how they eventually got down or the reason for the ride's failure.
But they did blame the amusement park for ignoring the suspended visitors, not properly checking the ride and not adequately ensuring the safety of people coming to the park.
Their lawsuit was filed earlier this month in the Superior Court of Mercer County.
I REALLY dont think Universal will lose this one. Even if the ride is dueling dragons, it cant stop upside down unless it stalls, which i find hard to believe that it happened.
