Kings Dominion Event Schedule for 2025

Attached is the event schedule JUST announced for KD’s 50th season!

Season Passholder Night and Opening Day are March 28th and 29th respectively. The park is also open for Spring Break the full week after that.

Soak City opens May 24th.

A Golden Summerbration will run from May 31st to Aug 3rd. Click the link below for more information.

Halloween Haunt, Tricks and Treats, and OktoberFest will all return this fall on September 19th and 20th.

WinterFest and Grand Carnivale are not on the schedule at all for 2025.

Everyone is pretty furious over KD canning Winterfest, myself included, but I'm just as disappointed with the loss of Grand Carnivale. That was probably my favorite seasonal event, and definitely the one that I spent the most money on with all the different foods. I feel like the season passes that they've already sold for this year were kind of a bait-and-switch.

Rumors were much heavier over several years about Carnivale leaving though. In fact, some were pleasantly surprised when it returned for one more season last summer. We don't know exactly what Golden Summerbration will look like and how it compares to Carnivale, but it is clearly the replacement. Losing Winterfest is much harder though because there is no replacement for that.

I my understanding going into last year was it was the last year of Carnival with a new event to come this year so I just shrugged that one off as expected. WinterFest is devastating to me especially have some idea about what they were looking at for this 25 before corporate got involved. I will also echo Zachary that everything i have heard points to the event not only being stable but also profitable.
