I'm pretty sure they're doing Whine on the Rhine right now, but I'm not certain.

Wine on the Rhine was extended, but with no live performers.  KVB has been reunited. Regularly performing in Ireland. Day off on Tuesday. At least some shows on Thursday are in Italy, filling the stage when MIU has the day off.

The last KVB show last night was one of the most magical experiences I've had at BGW. Especially loved the impromptu dance circle. Here are a couple videos:

As of right now it looks like the Killarney Village Band will be returning sometime at the beginning of the season in 2015, in the same 3-person form it was last year. Mostly according to cast-calls:

[CELTIC MUSICIANS]  Seeking vibrant, personable, energetic, proficient instrumentalist/performers:  ACCORDION/PIANO, BODRHAN, GUITAR, VIOLIN/FIDDLE

[FEMALE INTERACTIVE PERFORMER]  Warm, friendly, charming with a strong presence and personality.  Comedic timing a plus.  Vocal Ranges: Alto to Mezzo

[MALE INTERACTIVE PERFORMER]  Warm, friendly, charming with a strong presence and personality.  Comedic timing a plus.  Vocal Ranges: Bass to Tenor

Can anyone confirm if the KVB is back this season? It's nearly mid June and I have not heard even a whisper of them in my trips to the park. I know ENT plans to pull a lot of the additional bells and whistles out at peak season (after July 4th), so perhaps thats the first we will see of it?

Well the guitar player and fiddle player are doing Celtic Fyre, so I doubt they will be wandering the streets between shows. But I have been wrong before.

I'd never seen the band in previous trips, but during my most recent trip (this was Memorial Day weekend) we happened to show up in Ireland just as they kicked off. Eight people performing in all, plus a couple of the Celtic Fyre dancers in plain clothes goofing off a bit with them. It was definitely a memorable part of the visit this year. My dad, who's visited the park periodically for nearly 40 years now, said it was one of the nicest surprises to trip across there in many years.
