KD Closing Weekend 2015?

How crazy does it get this next coming weekend for closing weekend?  We bought Gold Passes for next year to KD and have those free visits for this year.  I realize the 31st will be super crazy I'm sure, but would the 1st be pretty quiet?  No Haunt that day.  Might just have to wait till spring.

Nov 1 will be pretty quiet. The 31st during the day won't be too bad if you're not doing Haunt.

The last Sunday of the season was a ghost town last year. I remember eating lunch on International Street, and in the 20 minutes I was there not a single person walked by. Easily the closest I have come to having the park all to myself.

Of course, weather may have a big impact on this, as it was freezing last year, but I would still imagine this day to be fairly quiet.

Will a 2016 Gold Pass be accepted on 11/1?

Highly considering making an afternoon out of it.

That seems lame since they close the 1st. That just ensures no one will be there the 1st then. I really don't want to mess with the Halloween Day crowd there for the Haunt. Seems like a strange thing to do.

Maybe so, but I'll just wait until next season if that's the case. I may send a message to them to find out. Will post if they reply. No reason to make my early bird pass more expensive.

So, I don't pretend to be qualified to predict crowds, but typically Halloween falling on a park operating day actually decreases crowds. Most people get Halloween events at parks out of the way the weekends leading up to Halloween and the day before the holiday. Once Halloween day hits, crowds typically drop off fairly notably.

The park will be crowded, but if history rings true again this year, it should be notably less crowded than last Saturday.

Honestly, I never saw the Oct. 31st date on there. Where was it? I just looked on the 2016 Gold Pass and it just says a free 2015 visit when purchased now. Maybe it's in the fine print on the purchase page. Wife bought them, so I didn't see that part if so.

Good call on that. It does state that perks don't kick in until 2016, and the free parking is just that. So it would be $15 to go for the day, which isn't a deal breaker to me (2 people so $7.50 admission ea.)

Gotcha.. I see it now. I didn't go all the way into it. Well, at least they realize they should accept it through closing day.
