Is it just me or do the "contestants" not have any screens to read off of?

Other than that... it's just a show the engages with the park guests. Song quality... depends on the person singing... which most of the time... yeah.

I have finally seen the show and I sort of perfer the MoonMaxx Productions version of it (despite the fact that the new version has a "set"). The performers did good and the people that did come up to sing their songs weren't to bad as I feared (one girl in paticular did very good on "I Will Survive"), but I miss the tv screens that helped you sing the songs.

No more karaoke in that area -- I walked past there this weekend and the stage is gone, with a concrete pad and canopy but with benches now there.

^Yep, the Grove Stage was removed last August and hasn't come back since. The water squirt gone next to the stage has also been boarded up. I sort of wonder if that whole area will be spruced up with the new coaster coming next year.
