What in the absolute hell is going on with Great Adventure anymore? How does this even happen?

Can’t figure out how to get the post preview lol, but Joker’s trains both ended up on the lift and collided…?

This was after one car on Harley Quinn partially derailed damaging the station platform.

Beginning to think it's the ghost of Ka.

I love Great Adventure dearly but this is more than embarrassing, it’s dangerous. Hate to say it but I’m really glad this isn’t my home park anymore.

Forgive the more negative tone of this post, but for the park's 50th anniversary, they:
  • Closed Kingda Ka
  • Closed Green Lantern
  • Closed Zumanjaro
  • Closed Skyride
  • Closed Twister
  • Had their new coaster delayed a year
  • Had super late openings of their refurbished attractions
  • Had Harley Quinn derail
  • Had Joker collide on the lift
I really dislike the way the PR team handled the ride closures, obviously, but I can't help but feel bad for them that they have all these other things outside of their control happening at the same time...

Forgot the delayed start to Extreme Fright Fest.

Sadly the park's 50th was a disappointment and unfortunately the disappointments keep coming.

Hi friends! I have worked on one of these coaster types before so i have a tad bit of incite. Jokers cars can only attach to the chain at two points. This is why when the train is dispatching, the chain slowly attaches to the stationary car and then the train ascends up the lift hill. With this being said, i'm convinced the bottom car is either pushing the first car up the lift hill or the first train somehow disconnected from the lift hill and was sitting on the anti roll backs when the next car came and hit it at a low speed. It being in maintenance mode could explain why the block system was override to allow for the second train to be on the lift.

Another thought I have is that the next train can not dispatch from station 1 onto the lift until the first car has cleared the 1st raven turn. I'm curious if the ride system failed to read the car going over the lift and the chain just continued to keep cycling allowing the next car to be dispatched onto the lift. Who knows...

Either way I'm glad no one was on the ride.

Ryan brings some interesting insights that leave me thinking this was done intentionally, safely, and there was never a hazard to riders. Biggest mistake was doing it during operating hours when people were able to take a picture & spread it.

I would recommend watching the whole video - it definitely does not look intentional. Seems like, from what he says, they may have to replace the lift chain, and take those 2 trains off for extensive service. The ride was definitely not designed to do this.

I’ll have to watch it again. I had the impression the first car had its bumpers removed so that both could fit on the lift for temporary holding. It’s definitely not a logical situation and only those involved know what happened.
