Hi friends!! First time poster, long time lurker.

I'm planning a trip to BGW in June and I haven't been since like 2014 when I was much smaller.

I am in recovery from binge eating disorder and am currently 5'2 and a size 20 at 270 lbs. I am working to drop quite a bit of weight by the trip but I'm wondering if I'll fit on any coasters or if I'll have to do the walk of shame (I know to use the tester seats, don't worry.)

I would be wearing tummy compression shorts and compressing my chest as well, if this helps.

Thanks in advance if you can answer this, I appreciate it!

I know of someone who is 5’4” and about 270, mostly belly weight. Now I know it all comes down to where the weight sits, but she is able to ride Alpengeist in rows 4-5, DarKoaster (it’s close, but she can), Verbolten, Apollo’s Chariot, Griffon (in certain seats), and Grover.

I know InvadR barely fits me, and it doesn’t fit her because the seats are ridiculously thin. Finnegan’s doesn’t work well for her along with Whirly Worms and Prince Elmo’s Spire.

Overall, I think BGW does a good job at having a place for everyone. The staff have been exceptionally kind in the past when fluctuations haven’t worked in her favor.

For the first time in MY life I experienced the “walk of shame” on Cookie Drop at SeaWorld Orlando. I have no idea how I fit on Prince Elmo’s Spire but not on Cookie Drop! The ride operator was incredibly nice about it and I had a good laugh myself. My son had just grown tall enough, and I had to tell him that apparently I outgrew the ride!

Best part is, once you go and you know what you can ride, it’s a blast. Don’t let the temporary not knowing get you down, or if you find a ride doesn’t work for you. Just have fun in the discovery process and then enjoy the rides that work for you!
