No idea. I feel like coverage of Indiana Beach is incredibly hard to come by, but maybe I just haven't encountered the right people?
Per maintenance and my local friends, a bolt flew off the train. They'd been having issues torquing them down over the previous few days, teething issues for a new ride. Not worth the shitstorm, really. If it's not safe to run they'll keep it shut.

Also that violently rough is just an enthusiast take. Coaster runs butter smooth but has some very jank transitions. You can thank Daddy Schwarzkopf for that one.

Didn't find it quite as bad as others are suggesting but 1 ride was still plenty for me. Witnessed multiple stoppages and a lift rollback over the weekend while I was there. Not entirely convinced this ride should exist in this state but glad I got to ride & document it regardless, I guess. Worth the trek for the novelty of a ride that I wouldn't be surprised to see closed in a few years (for one reason or another), but not worth it on the basis of it being a good ride (because it's not).

Super kooky park, like Knoebels but on a lake, terribly run, and about 100% more white trash. Had a good time.

A rides supervisor attempted to kick me from the park for photographing the ride which was immediately overruled by security. Heard there was some sort of miscommunication about photography of this ride specifically not being allowed but it was still bizarre.

I really think that these old schwarzkopf coasters need redesigned trains to operate safely in todays maintenance climate. With several incidents with those trains including at fairly reputable parks such as Grona Lund, it seems that they're kinda at the end of their service lives in many cases.

Ironically a redesigned part is the reason Jetline's train failed:
The report shows that the new support arm that was fitted to Jetline in the spring of 2023 was manufactured incorrectly. It was missing a cross plate on the inside and also had serious welding defects. This led to the support arm having too little strength and breaking. The manufacturing defects were on the inside of the support arm and were not visible in the subsequent checks that were made.
...
When ordering, manufacturing drawings from the original manufacturer were sent with it and an exact copy was ordered with a follow-up check of all welding joints. The supplier then outsourced the order to a subcontractor, something that Gröna Lund was unaware of.
...
The Accident Commission's report shows that the subcontractor has had uncertainties about how the welding would be carried out and that these uncertainties are never discussed with their client or Gröna Lund. This led to the missing of the important cross plate on the inside. The report also shows that the original drawing has been abandoned and that there were serious welding defects on the inside. The welder who carried out the work had no formal welding training and no valid welding test certificate.

Regardless, I don't really see the argument for running Mindbender's old train over commissioning a new one from Zierer/Gerstlauer. Besides cost savings obviously, which I imagine is the logic here.

For anyone to even suggest that taking photos inside a park can or should be forbidden in this day and age is just absurd. You may as well try to make guests leave their phones at the front gate and see how that goes.

And I’m more bothered by the lack of communication by the park. How can a ride supervisor thing that while security overrules them? I feel like things like that should be known by every park employee.

To be totally honest with you, most parks I've had insight into are this incompetent and disfunctional internally. The left hand rarely knows (or cares) what the right hand is doing.

Given what we have seen from Indiana Beach over the years, this is probably especially true there.
