Late Nights: A Busch Gardens Encore 2014
A PR Concept

So with Illuminights on it's way to the ER trying to survive with little to no hope here is my concept of a summer event for Busch Gardens.

Main Event Theme
As we see with this years Illuminights, the park was aiming for a more garden themed event. While it makes perfect sense to try and support your new brand, the way they did it was quite embarrassing to say the least. I think if the park needs to focus on park mascots for this event.
Typically, I'd stray away from any parks using mascot but I think mascots could work well to enhance the European feel. In general, I think this summer event should be about street shows and performers with fireworks and concerts. But I think it should not be every night in the summer.

When?
Every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday starting at 7:00PM to 11:00PM

What?
Street shows in the villages of England, Ireland, France, Germany, and Italy featuring a park mascot, shows starting at 7:30PM and going every 30 minutes until the fireworks at 10:30PM.

Street actors roam the pathways consistently from 7:00PM to 10:30PM, some jugglers, some flame eaters, some stilt walkers, and others. Of course these actors rotate in and out on a loose schedule.

Concerts every day of the weekend starting at 7:00PM and ending at around or about 10:00PM.

Fireworks every day of the weekend starting at 10:30PM

What do you think?

ALSO, the park could sell tickets just for this event, pay half the regular price for admission and play from 7:00PM to 11:00PM?

The main reasoning for so much going on is for it to appear to be a large event on the scale of HoS and CT, as well as it makes it impossible for one person to do the entire event in just one night! You have to keep coming back for more and more!

"Fireworks every day of the weekend starting at 10:30PM"

How about fireworks at 9:30 on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Once the fireworks are over the GP makes a mad dash to get out of the park.

That way you could enjoy an area before leaving the park in a huge stream of people. Just a thought...

Yea, but then you have like two hours, two and half, if you want to experience everything else and if anything the fireworks are supposed to end the night.

Drop the starting time to 5:00 or 6:00 pm that way your adding two hours to the evening event and still making money on discounted admittance. I really don't think the GP will pay half price for four hours in the park.

The price of the ticket is yet to be determined; however I choose 7:00PM because the park saves money on the daily costs of the event, plus it doesn't even remotely start to get dark until that point. The whole point of the event is having fun at the park at night.

RE: Late Nights: A Busch Gardens Encore 2014

I think that instead of having concerts every night on the weekends they should do up another large production such as Kinetix or Imaginique. I would assume having that many concerts would be very expensive; maybe doing an in-house production would be a "little" bit cheaper. I definitely think they should still do the concerts and everything, but I would love to see them bring back a large production show in the RPT. They could even have some of the street actors be performers in the show to cut down on cost a little and not have to hire as many people.

Keep in mind the park used to have concerts every weekend in the summer in previous years.

Quick question. If an Imaginique type show were to come back to the Palace, where would concerts go? Could they still go in Festhaus Park or has Bolt's event house screwed up the land grading in the area? And I know this is a combination of a lot of concepts including yours PR.

The Festhaus Park is now a natural stadium as far as land grading goes. I'm sure they could switch out between a show and concerts every so often.
