Howl-o-Scream Hamlets
A PR Concept

So with the recent rumors of the park switching to hamlet re-themes this year for Howl-o-Scream, I decided to put my ideas forth of what hamlet should get what theme and how exactly that theme can be put together.

England ~ The Dark Side of the Gardens

Summary
England is very much just an entry and exit point for the park, due to this primary function for the area I think it should be re-themed as The Dark Side of the Gardens, or whatever main theme the park is going for. It should introduce people to the event, whilst also reminding them at the end of the night where they just came from. Also it could also feature generic Halloween themed ideas. They can theme this hamlet by adding vines all over the buildings, and of course with the rose with an eye. They can completely cover Big Ben with these vines and roses. Overall the area doesn't need an extreme amount of theming, but just by simply placing the vines and roses practically everywhere will give a great feel for the theme of the event and hamlet.

Shows
The Globe Theater (The Rose Theater) - Featuring: Monster Stomp Revamped; This show fits in with the area as a general Halloween themed show.

Street Performers/Scare Actors

The London Dairy (Sweet Creeps) - Selling Halloween-themed candy.

The British Baker (The Bloody Baker) - Selling Howl-o-Scream based funnel cakes.

Attractions

Sky Ride (Eye in the Sky Ride) - Same Dark Side of the Gardens theming.

Heatherdowns, Scotland ~ Harvest Hollow

Summary
I know, I stole a defunct attractions name, but think of the potential of the area. You already have a farm like atmosphere, why not use what is already given? The main hamlet decor can be building facades which can be as simple as painting the walls black with faded wood boards attached to the walls, slightly off to give the appeared the buildings are abandoned farm buildings. This wouldn't take too long to do. The keep the floating pumpkins, along with the corn stalks and hay bales. The Loch Ness side of the train tracks should be left untouched as it is very well separated from the hamlet fairly well.

Tickets are completely free and for ride attendance counts only. Half of the ticket will be taken before boarding the train. This will remove the use of the turnstile and make the station entrance more clear. This will also enhance the feel of an actual train station versus a theme park ride.

Li'l Clydes (Li'l Horses) - Unchanged, except for name. Closes at 5:30PM. The name change is only to support the overall farm theme and hide the Scottish theme.

Loch Ness Monster - Unchanged

Killarney, Ireland ~ Freakenstien's Castle

Summary
I know an entire hamlet themed to one castle? Well honestly, there is a castle wall with a drawbridge and you're just entering the courtyard. Sorry my creativity died, I will edit my concept when I am less tired!

Almost all of those have been done before, often in those same locations. How about instead of doing the same old things try something new! I know IP have been mentioned before, but I believe I've thought of one that works. How about a new house in Italy themed to be Dante Alighieri's "Divine Comedy". The house itself would actually be based on The Inferno, compete with all the various rings. Plenty to draw inspiration from in the story. Which hamlet leads to it doesn't matter, you just theme either festa out San Marco according to Purgatory. Fits the park perfectly!

I likes the original idea of a funhouse for the house at Scotty's rather then fear fair, and creepy carnies (missing limbs) with the ocasional clown or two.

My hamlet themes revolve around what plays well with the already surrounding structures. When re-theming a hamlet you don't want to have to make more work for yourself than there already is. Scotland is perfect for a farm/harvest theme. You already have stables, use them! Wild Reserve, use the wolves and shrubbery to your advantage! Festa, the place is already practically a carnival and everyone loves clowns! Some of these places beg for these themes.

I did update the post a bit, different name ideas and such.

Just to note, a lot of my themes may be similar, but the actual theming and decor will be done differently and better!

Ah, but that is the beauty of a concept, you can throw out any idea plausible. Fear Fair could come back, it would take a slightly larger budget and all new props and it might have to be from the ground up but it can happen. It just probably won't.
