So I've been never been to BGW in October. Thinking of visiting this month and checking out Howl-O-Scream.

Wondering . . .

What days are best to go? Sunday's not too bad? Friday's decent too?

Are Saturday's crazy busy?

Also, is the park during the day really crowded or do most folks show up around 5pm or so to do the Howl-O-Scream stuff?

Thanks, really appreciate the help!

The closer you get to Halloween, the worse the crowds get. Saturdays take the brunt of the crowds but towards the end of the month, those crowds spill into Fridays and Sundays.

Last two Saturdays are pretty much the two busiest days of the year.

Doswell has a higher-quality and cheaper event at Kings Dominion if you find some time to check that one out.

For real, though, if you want to check out BGW's event, go for it. For both events, avoid Saturdays and the closer to Halloween, the more crowded it will be.

Thanks!

Is park in the early afternoon pretty crowded too . . . say on a Sunday? Or quick lines mostly until late afternoon and HOS gets going?

Morning crowds on Sundays are normally pretty light. Things normally start to really pick up around 2. Crowds typically continue to increase until around the start of Howl-O-Scream.

Since BGW is really a local's park, even a 30% chance of rain can completely change park attendance though so keep a close eye on the weather.
