I've seen this on other boards, so how much time on average do you spend at BGW? I usually spend 6 to 9 hours but sometimes more, sometimes less.

I like to do all day trips in the fall when the heat won't wear you down. In the summer, I might do a 6-7 hour trip every 2 or 3 weeks.
Need another option...

My average trip is about 5 hours. I only live about 12 minutes away near Fort Eustis and go often.
5 hours is about all I can take of crowds and whatnot, and if I miss anything, I can always go tomorrow.

I added two more options (3 to 6 and Open to Close), hope you don't mind Smitty, to try and make it as accurate as possible.
I used to go open-close...but I find that that appeals to me less and less as I get older and older. This isn't totally a knock on BG, either. It's everywhere. I used to hang out at the beach ALL day, too, and 10 years ago, I could spend several hours at the mall chilling out. Now, a beach day is 6 hrs, max, and if I'm at the mall more than 45 minutes, something has gone wrong.
Specific to BG, though, I do think that the lack of a decent sign-off show (like, I don't know, Imaginique) plays a big part in me not wanting to wait it out and stay through 10 or whenever.

It really depends on whether or not I have friends with me or not.
If I'm hanging out with someone, chances are I'll spend a couple hours in the park. Otherwise, I usually hang out for 2-3 hours riding all the stuff I wanna ride (plus rerides) and then head home.

Depends on the day... and what my goals are... usually I do not come up just to hang out, but like if I want to shoot some video with my friends or what ever, I spend the time needed... for instance, I am helping shoot a music video spoof at the park on Friday and I will be there open to close getting the necessary work done

Unless I get there late or have to leave early, 90% of the days that I go to the park I am there from open to close. Yes, 9:00am - 11:00pm during HOS is a long day.
5pm to close, in WCUSA from opening until 3 pm. Go to hotel, change, shower, dinner, ice cream in the park at 10 n_n. Sometimes I eat in the park but I really love some of the local restaurants that Williamsburg has.
Oh I also eat at a different waffle house every day, I believe I'm due to cycle the list for the second time on the third day I'm down there next.

5 pm to close is probably the nicest time to be at the park during the summer...

Oh, yeah. My favorite thing is to be in Oktoberfest at sunset. It just FEELS right, especially if I'm getting ready to eat in Festhaus.
