Hell all !

This is the first time I'm coming to this forum, i'm writing you from France so please excuse my english ;)

With my wife are big coasters fan in Europe, we planned a trip to America for our honeymoon and we are going to SFMM on 12/19. The day when "Holiday in the park" event is launched, and i hardly found or understood informations, so i found this forum and i'm coming with my questions. I want to come to this park since i'm a child so i want the best experience and don't have surprises.
Here my questions,

Can we enter the park without a season pass ?
I guess there will be a lot of people, so will Platinium flash passes be available and/or worth it ?
Will all the rides be open the hole day ?
Do I have do buy Pass or tickets quickly ? Especially the black friday sale ?

If you red this far, thank you i hope my english is not that bad, and hope to see you soon :)

Welcome to the ParkFans forum. I'll answer each question the best I can, one question at a time.

You do not require a season pass to enter the park. The Holiday in the Park is a seasonal promotion, where the park has special events planned during operational days.

Platinum Flash passes will be available. The question is, will Flash passes be necessary. My advice: show up early and 'feel out' the crowd. If it seems like the park is crowded early on, or that the crowd is building as the morning goes on, I'd suggest buying a Flash pass. You may be fine with a regular Flash pass or the middle-tiered Flash pass (gold, I believe?). Platinum is nice but it's only really necessary on extremely busy days.

I would imagine some rides will be closed for maintenance, since the off season is when most rides are serviced. That being said, if 3 roller coasters are closed, you still have 16 to choose from.

I wouldn't worry about tickets selling out. However, if you found a good sale on tickets, it may be beneficial to buy tickets before arriving to the park.

If you have any further questions, I hope we can answer all of them to the best of our ability. Most ParkFans contributors are located on the East Coast, including myself, so we only have limited experience going to Six Flags Magic Mountain. However, I've been to Magic Mountain many, many times and it is one of the best parks in the world. I hope you enjoy your trip!
