Found this gem on you tube.  It is over an hour long, but it is a very interesting tale.

It is worth noting that the Coney Island that they keep referring to is not the historic Coney Island in NY, but a different but perhaps equally important Coney Island in Ohio.

The Coney Island in Ohio was also home to one of the historically famous wooden coasters in the U.S. The Coney Island Cyclone, The Terrible Trio, The Coney Island Wildcat, and the Thunderbolt. While the Cyclone and the Thunderbolt were both in New York and the Terrible Trio were scattered around in Ontario, New Jersey, and Massachusetts. Coney Island Ohio had the Wildcat.

The Coney Island Wildcat has 4 descendants around the world today, one of which is Grizzly at Kings Dominion.

Here is a video to go along with what b.mac says about the Wildcat. At 1:30 into the video, you can clearly see that the layout is pretty much spot on with Grizzly. There are lots of other cool rides in this video too. I see a Time Shaft 'Rotor"!
