Perhaps the "Dip n' Dots guy" has been handing out information again.... Either that or they may be onto something. I'm surprised they haven't announced anything yet, unless they're making one big arse plan like the Banshee takeover of Son of Beast.

It wouldn't surprise me at all. I saw the writing on the wall when Tiger was shut down, had a QuickQue bridge built across Tigers station and had one of Tigers trains run on the Lion side. By the way, I've been hearing the other Lion and Tiger trains are being canibalized for parts.

Leviathan is what happens when Speed and Air Time get stuck in a dark closet at B&M's planning department and make a baby.

Yes, it is an amazing ride and it's worth it. It's a speed machine built for air-time and trying to remove your face via wind. It's smoother then M. Force and with the B&M trains you feel the speed so much more versus the more enclosed cars. Think of a longer Apollo and just for fun throw a super-charger on it.
It might not LOOK like much until you ride it. Once your on it, it's alive. Plus the over-banked, nearly inverted turn with that level of speed? Pure coaster joy, my friends.

Gwazi is/was a great ride (and I'm not just saying that because I LOVE wooden coasters either) but wood and Florida don't make the best of friends. It was fine when the A-B money maintained it but now? It's a folly they are barely maintaining and it's a damned shame.

I can only WISH BGT builds something of the level of Leviathan, it's an addition worthy of the park that hasn't been seen since the early Montu days.

The rumors have been around long before Falcon's Fury announcement, and they aren't just rumors being pulled out of nowhere. The appeal is no longer worth the costs of the ride, it has it's own maintenance team that is there at 3 a.m. every day before opening.

Correct, the rumor that Gwazi was getting demo'd has been going around for several years. The rumor that it's going to be demo'd once FF opens in Spring 2014 is just the current version of the rumor.

At this point, I don't think there is much doubt that something major is going to happen with Gwazi within the next 18 months. Either a huge overhaul, or the more likely demolition.

But we're still stuck in the rumor category on this, and I haven't heard anything from high level sources that makes me comfortable in being sure what will happen, and when that will occur.

Nothing really new to report, other than that all of the talk points to Gwazi coming down. When is the big question. I've heard at the same time/immediately following Falcon's Fury opening; "several months" after FF opens (likely at the end of the summer season in August); and sometime in 2015.

Recent word says the latter. A lot more drama regarding the ride than you see.

I just recently visited the park within the past week. Gwazi had a wait time of 20-60 minutes every time I passed by but I am assuming this is caused by the large summer crowd as almost every ride had some sort of a wait. The ride still does look extremely neglected (kept just well enough to be operated safely) and my hopes are that it will be demolished after the summer season. Even though Gwazi has a sort of nostalgic sense surrounding it, its really pretty lame IMO without the tiger side in operation. Though I adore wooden coasters I think that Gwazi without some serious TLC has run its course. Putting a wooden coaster in Florida weather seems like a poor investment to me, and I'm sure its feeling that way as well to BGT budget. I would love to see a wing style coaster filling the spot.

After riding it in the first time in years this April. This thing is just taking up space that could better be used for almost anything else. One side is rotting to pieces, and the other is running, but is guaranteed to give you a headache, if not whiplash.

Now hearing that this has been pushed back at least 24 months due to the issues getting Falcon's Fury open.

To me, a giga coaster would be the best option. A RMC Iron Horse treatment would be nice, but I don't think SeaWorld wants to deal with them for now (and why should they?)

I went on gwazi this weekend. It was horrid. The ride isn't enjoyable and it looks like a haunted abandoned rollercoaster. There was no line and only little kids on it. It really should be demolished for a new coaster.

I will admit, I love Gwazi's layout. And while the ride was rough, it didn't ruin the ride for me (as much that is lol). What really ruined it was the pacing. I don't know what it was but it felt like train was struggling to maintain speed, almost like it was dragging itself. I can only imagine the ride must have been a lot better the first couple years it was open, even with the PTC trains.
